Attraction Rules

To enjoy this attraction

• Drivers must be a minimum of 1.5 metres tall and 13 years old. Passengers must be a minimum of 1.1 metres tall. Passengers must be driven by a member of their own family or group. To take a passenger the driver must be 16 years or older.
• Guests require full body control to drive a go-kart and must be able to understand safety instructions and operational controls. The marshal will assess each individual that meets the initial driver restrictions and their decision on the individual’s ability to drive and safely control a go-kart is final. If the marshal decides that the individual cannot drive, then they will need a driver with them who must be 16 years or over to drive.
• To ride as a passenger, you require upper body control. All riders must wear the seatbelt provided.

Upon entering this attraction, you accept the following risks and will adhere to the rules listed below

• The marshals will provide instruction. Listen carefully and ask if you are unsure.
• The marshal’s instructions must be obeyed at all times.
• No smoking, food or drink within the track perimeter.
• Remove scarves, secure loose clothing and tie long hair up.
• Drivers must wear suitable foot wear.
• No-one assumed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs may drive.
• Seat belts must be worn at all times.
• Do not undo your seat belt or leave your go-kart until instructed to do so.
• RIGHT FOOT for GO. LEFT FOOT to BRAKE and STOP. Only press one pedal at a time.
• Always look where you are going whilst driving and keep both hands firmly on the steering wheel.
• No bumping or reckless driving. Go-karting is strictly non-contact.
• Slower drivers are recommended to keep to the left-hand side of the track.
• If assistance is required remain seated with your seat belt fastened and raise your hand.
• You must obey flags, lights and safety signs.
• All spectators must remain behind the safety barriers.
• All intentional damage to Knockhatch Adventure Park equipment must be paid for.
• We advise that anyone who is pregnant or with any medical conditions that may be affected on this ride i.e. heart conditions, back or spinal problems, should not attempt to ride.
• Persons with broken / fractured limbs cannot ride.
• Helmets are available on request.
• Knockhatch Adventure Park accepts no responsibility for damage to personal items and clothing.
• Please be sensible at all times.
• The staff at Knockhatch Adventure Park have the right to refuse access if they see fit to do so.
• Tickets only valid on date of purchase.
• Knockhatch Adventure Park reserves the right to close an amenity, toilet, ride, kiosk, animal enclosure or show without prior notice for the purposes of maintenance or staff training. Refunds will not be given in these circumstances.

YOU WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN A MOTOR SPORT WITH ALL THE ASSOCIATED RISKS OF A RACE TRACK. KNOCKHATCH ADVENTURE PARK CANNOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY FOR INJURY CAUSED WHILST USING THIS RIDE. ANYONE BREAKING THESE RULES WILL HAVE THEIR RIDE TERMINATED AND MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PARK WITH NO REFUND GIVEN.
